Help Shape the Future of Aging Services in Your Community 

Bay Aging seeks public input on our 2026 Area Plan, which outlines funding priorities and services for older adults living in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. We invite public comment from June 16 to July 16 and we welcome you to attend a public hearing on July 1 at 10 am at our main office at 5306 Old Virginia Street, Urbanna.

View the Area Plan in person at the following locations Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, from June 16 to July 16.

Public Comment Period 

The public comment period will be open from June 16 through July 16. Community members are encouraged to submit questions, comments, or concerns about the plan, including its proposed budget and program areas.

You do not need to attend the hearing to submit written comments.

    Public Hearing 

    A public hearing on the 2026 Area Plan will be held on July 1 at 10 am at Bay Aging’s Main Office, located at 5306 Old Virginia Street in Urbanna. The hearing will also be broadcast live on Bay Aging’s Facebook page.

    You do not need to attend the hearing to submit written comments. Your input is important. Help guide the services and support systems older adults in our region rely on every day.

    We believe the people who rely on or care about our services should have a voice in shaping them. Your feedback helps us understand community needs, set priorities, and make decisions that work best for older adults and vulnerable populations across the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck.

    You can still share your thoughts! The public comment period runs from June 16 through July 16, 2025, and you can submit comments online, by calling (804) 758-2386 x1201, or in person at any of our offices. Attendance at the public hearing is not required to make your voice heard.

    Bay Aging will review all public comments and consider them as we finalize the Area Plan. We may summarize feedback in reports or presentations, but individual names will not be shared without permission. Your input helps ensure our plan reflects the needs of the community.

    Yes. The draft 2026 Area Plan will be available June 16 online and hard copies can be reviewed at Bay Aging’s Main Office in Urbanna, the Bay Transit Gloucester Facility, the Bay Transit Warsaw Facility, and the Montross Care Coordination Office from June 16 to July 16.
