Bay Aging extends its heartfelt thanks to the Abingdon Ruritan Club for its gracious and generous donations supporting three important Bay Aging programs serving Gloucester County: the Gloucester Active Lifestyle Center, the Gloucester Adult Day Center, and the Meals on Wheels program.
On behalf of the Abingdon Ruritan Club, Beth Richardson, Kelly Richards, and past president Don Sandridge presented donations totaling $5,000 to support Bay Aging’s work in the Gloucester community. The gifts included $1,000 for the Gloucester Active Lifestyle Center, $1,000 for the Gloucester Adult Day Center, and $3,000 for Gloucester Meals on Wheels.
These contributions will help Bay Aging continue providing programs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and homebound neighbors. The Gloucester Active Lifestyle Center offers opportunities for social connection, recreation, and community engagement. The Gloucester Adult Day Center provides care, supervision, socialization, and respite support for families and caregivers. Meals on Wheels helps ensure that eligible homebound older adults receive nutritious meals, friendly visits, and important safety checks. Donations to the Meals on Wheels program can be made online at www.bayaging.org/support.
“We are deeply grateful to the Abingdon Ruritan Club for recognizing the importance of these programs and for investing in the well-being of Gloucester residents,” said Kathy Vesley, Bay Aging President and CEO. “Their generosity helps strengthen services that support independence, connection, dignity, and care for neighbors throughout the community.”
